PRIVACY POLICY

Last updated: August 2026

1. Who we are

This website, rivexsoft.com, is operated by Rivex Software Limited, a company incorporated in Hong Kong ("Rivex", "we", "us"). Rivex is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. You can contact us at hello@rivexsoft.com.

2. What data we process

Analytics data (only with your consent). If you accept analytics in the cookie banner, we use Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Limited / Google LLC) and Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft Corporation) to understand how visitors use this site. These services collect information such as pages viewed, approximate location (city level), device and browser type, referral source, and interactions with the page. Microsoft Clarity additionally records anonymised session interactions such as scrolling and clicks. We do not use this data to identify you personally.

Correspondence. If you email us or book a call through our scheduling link, we process the information you provide (such as your name, email address, company, and the content of your message) to respond and communicate with you.

Technical logs. Our hosting provider automatically records basic technical data (such as IP address, request time, and user agent) in server logs for security and operational purposes.

3. Cookies and similar technologies

This site sets analytics cookies only after you click "Accept" in the cookie banner. Before consent, no analytics scripts are loaded. Your consent choice itself is stored in your browser's local storage so that we do not ask you again on every visit.

  • Google Analytics 4 — cookies such as _ga and _ga_*, used to distinguish visitors and sessions.
  • Microsoft Clarity — cookies such as _clck and _clsk, used to link interactions within a session.

You can withdraw your consent at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser settings, or by resetting your cookie preferences — the banner will be shown again on your next page view.

4. Legal bases

Where the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation applies to you, we rely on the following legal bases: your consent for analytics cookies and related processing; our legitimate interests in responding to enquiries, operating and securing this website; and, where discussions progress, steps taken at your request prior to entering into a contract.

5. International transfers

Google and Microsoft may process analytics data on servers located outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. These providers rely on recognised transfer safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and, where applicable, the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. As a Hong Kong company, we may also access correspondence from outside the EEA; we limit such access to what is necessary for the purposes above.

6. Retention

Analytics data is retained according to the settings of the respective tools (Google Analytics event data for up to 14 months; Clarity session data for up to 12 months). Correspondence is kept for as long as needed to handle your enquiry and any resulting business relationship, and afterwards as required by applicable law.

7. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you have the right to request access to, rectification or erasure of your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing. If you are in the EEA or UK, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. To exercise your rights, contact hello@rivexsoft.com.

8. Third-party services

Bookings made through our scheduling link are processed by Cal.com, Inc. under its own privacy policy. This site may link to external websites; we are not responsible for their content or privacy practices.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always available on this page, with the date of the latest revision shown above.
